IC 1396 contient la N\u00e9buleuse de la trompe d’\u00e9l\u00e9phant (portant le num\u00e9ro VDB 142 du catalogue Van Den Berg) que l\u2019on voit sur l\u2019image, au centre, en bas de l\u2019image. IC1396 est une grande n\u00e9buleuse \u00e0 \u00e9mission qui fait 3 \u00e0 5 fois le diam\u00e8tre de la pleine lune vu de la terre. La brillante \u00e9toile jaune, \u00e0 droite de l\u2019image, est Garnet qui est une g\u00e9ante rouge. Son diam\u00e8tre est 2536 fois plus grand que notre Soleil. \u00a0

Cette r\u00e9gion riche en gaz et poussi\u00e8res favorise la formation de nouvelles \u00e9toiles. En effet, tout r\u00e9cemment, on a d\u00e9couvert plus de 100 jeunes \u00e9toiles en train de se former dans cette n\u00e9buleuse. \u00a0

C\u2019est une tr\u00e8s belle n\u00e9buleuse \u00e0 photographier. Par contre, malgr\u00e9 sa magnitude visuelle de 6, les gaz et poussi\u00e8res de la n\u00e9buleuse sont peu visibles dans un t\u00e9lescope. Pour faire ressortir tous les belles nuances et contrastes de la n\u00e9buleuse, j\u2019ai consacr\u00e9 un temps d\u2019exposition en luminance H-Alpha de 1,83 heure avec des temps de 10 minutes par photo (11 x10\u2019 = 1,83 H).<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
