Il est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme le plus bel amas globulaire du ciel bor\u00e9al. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couvert par Edmond Halley en 1714, et ajout\u00e9 par Charles Messier dans son catalogue le 1er juin 1764. \u00a0<br><br>Comportant plus de 100000 \u00e9toiles, il est aussi l&rsquo;un des plus vieux objets : son \u00e2ge est estim\u00e9 \u00e0 12 ou 13 milliards d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es, soit imm\u00e9diatement apr\u00e8s la cr\u00e9ation de l\u2019univers qui a 13,73 milliards d\u2019ann\u00e9es ! Il appara\u00eet avec un diam\u00e8tre de 20 minutes d&rsquo;arc vue de la terre, soit un diam\u00e8tre r\u00e9el de 150 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re. Il a cependant la particularit\u00e9 de contenir de nombreuses \u00e9toiles jeunes (appartenance confirm\u00e9e d&rsquo;apr\u00e8s leur vitesse angulaire), ce qui est inhabituel pour un amas de cet \u00e2ge : les scientifiques pensent que ces \u00e9toiles ne sont pas n\u00e9es \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur de l&rsquo;amas, mais ont plut\u00f4t \u00e9t\u00e9 captur\u00e9es par ce dernier.<br><br>Messier 13 a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 en 1974 (le 16 novembre) comme cible pour l&rsquo;envoi d&rsquo;un message \u00e0 une potentielle civilisation extraterrestre. Ce message a \u00e9t\u00e9 envoy\u00e9 \u00e0 partir du radiot\u00e9lescope d&rsquo;Arecibo, qui participe \u00e9galement au projet SETI. Il contenait des informations comme les chiffres, le num\u00e9ro atomique de l&rsquo;hydrog\u00e8ne, du carbone, de l&rsquo;azote, de l&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne et du phosphore, des donn\u00e9es sur l&rsquo;ADN, la forme et la taille d&rsquo;un humain, la population terrestre, et la position de la Terre dans le syst\u00e8me solaire. Il mettra plus de 25000 ans \u00e0 y parvenir (autant pour la r\u00e9ponse \u00e9ventuelle) \u2026 \u00a0<br><br>On peut voir M13 \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153il nu sous un ciel sans pollution lumineuse. On le voit alors sous la forme d\u2019une tache blanche. Avec un t\u00e9lescope ou une lunette d&rsquo;un diam\u00e8tre 150mm et plus, on peut r\u00e9soudre certains d\u00e9tails de l\u2019amas. \u00a0<br><br>Pour mon image prise dans un site de pollution lumineuse extr\u00eame, j\u2019ai r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 aller chercher beaucoup de d\u00e9tails fins de l\u2019amas globulaire. J\u2019utilise maintenant ma nouvelle technique qui consiste \u00e0 ne pas utiliser une image de luminance avec un filtre clair pour les objets avec spectre lumineux continu tels que les amas d\u2019\u00e9toiles et les galaxies. En effet, j\u2019ai remarqu\u00e9 que l\u2019image prise avec le filtre rouge contient beaucoup plus d\u2019information (de signal) que l\u2019image de luminance (filtre clair). La raison est que le filtre rouge est beaucoup moins affect\u00e9 par la pollution lumineuse importante de mon site d\u2019observation. J\u2019utilise donc le filtre rouge comme image de luminance ou l\u2019image couleur RVsB (images rouge et bleue avec un vert synth\u00e9tique produit avec les images rouge et bleue), au choix, en me basant sur la meilleure image donnant le plus d\u2019information sur l\u2019objet.<br><br>Dans mon image, on aper\u00e7oit aussi sur la gauche la petite galaxie IC4617 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e dans l\u2019annotation suivante :\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ciel-astro-ccd.com\/m13-annote.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/ciel-astro-ccd.com\/m13-annote.jpg<\/a><br><br>Elle appara\u00eet petite, car elle se trouve tr\u00e8s loin de la terre, environ 490 millions d\u2019ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re. Elle contient tout de m\u00eame des milliards d\u2019\u00e9toiles. Vue de notre terre, elle a une magnitude visuelle de seulement 16. Cette tr\u00e8s faible luminosit\u00e9 explique que sur plusieurs photos, on ne distingue pas cette galaxie tr\u00e8s pr\u00e8s de M13 sur le plan visuel. C\u2019est incroyable de l\u2019avoir captur\u00e9 dans mon site de pollution lumineuse extr\u00eame ! Sa dimension vue de la terre est de seulement 1,20 x 0,40 minute d\u2019arcs (la Lune a un diam\u00e8tre d\u2019environ 30\u2019 d\u2019arc).
